In June 2021, Purva Grover was granted the UAE Golden Visa for ten years (the first culture visa in the world) under the category: Class of Creators from the People of Culture and Art as a writer.

In 2019, the UAE implemented a new system for

long-term residence visas. These visas will be issued for 5 or 10 years and will be renewed automatically. This includes specialised talents and researchers in the fields of science and knowledge, as well as creative individuals in the field of culture and art.
