The daughter of India has made it to the headlines, again, just like she did yesterday. As a rape victim. As a woman born in a man’s world. Being reduced down to a topic for a documentary, a social cause, a status update, a political agenda, a news item. Will we be able to fight this plague, ever? Will the heart ever stop to hurt? When will we stop failing our daughters?​

A play for Short + Sweet Theatre Sharjah, the largest festival of 10 minute plays in the world. 

Won the Best Writer and Overall production Award. The play was recognised for the bold content and unique directorial approach. 

 

In August 2017, the play won the best director & playwright award at Short & Sweet Kolkata (India).

In Dubai, in 2016, when the play was staged for the first time, it won the Judges’ Choice Award as part of the same festival.
