Ghost Village or the hideout of superheroes?

After 4 years of hard work, the series is complete with 6

large (4 x 120x85cm and 2 x 100x100cm) and 9 small

framed pieces (25x25cm), and ready to be unveiled to

an audience of all generations, for the first time at

Alliance Française in Dubai.

We're excited to witness the unseen mixed media art exhibition combining Alexandra Raynaud's photography (@zoomandbloombyalex) with the Bic© ballpoint pen drawings of Valérie Schmitt Manouvrier (@artbymanoudubai), both French artists in the Emirates.

This duo, called CLIC & BIC©, has given birth to an explosive artistic universe where the real and the fiction merge in a resolutely pop way!

Each artwork has been created with a combination of PIXELS & INK... A total of 25 km of ballpoint pen LINES have been drawn on this collection!

For this first edition, they chose the mystical village of Al Madam near Sharjah, more particularly its deserted houses, which are the subject of many stories. With a lot of creativity and a dose of humour, they have brought this mysterious place back to life while highlighting its authenticity. What if the "Ghost Village" was none other than the hideout of the most famous superheroes?

They will be unveiling 16 unique artworks! In this series of 16 original artworks, Clic & Bic uphold tradition while embracing modernity and looking toward the future. The artworks embody a hybrid contemporary culture, developed from the crossroads of Eastern and Western influences, from childhood memories to pop culture through the UAE’s history and heritage. The result is an eclectic mix of retro-pop-art-revolutionary where the artists successfully blur the line between fiction and reality.

On until March 7, Galerie, Alliance Française Dubai
